We were challenged to make a wearable extension of our identity. Through the assignment and the exploration of my own identity I found my biggest strength to be the fluidity of my own persona. I noticed that instead of forming a situation to my own beliefs I was forming to fit the situation. Adaption through formlessness. This made me think of a piece from a philosopher that talked about water. How water is the only element that can be found in a solid, liquid and gas form in natural circumstances and how water adapts and forms to its surroundings. With this piece I wanted to portray that property by mimicking the reflections of water that change with movement through a wearable ‘‘waterhat’’.
